As fun and friendly club for students to learn American Sign Language and more about the Deaf community.

The ASL Club strives to acquire knowledge and understanding about American Sign Language and the culture and history that surrounds it. ASL Club uses an app curated by deaf people to teach the hearing community how to sign. The club also plays interactive games to immerse members in the language. ASL Club aims to maintain the integrity of deaf culture while remaining respectful of the deaf community. The club was founded in 2021 by former student Lydia Daniel, who had a passion for informing her peers about the beauty of American Sign Language and deaf culture. ASL Club meets every Wednesday after school from 3:00 - 3:45. The ASL Club is open to anyone interested in learning or practicing ASL-all levels are welcome. ASL Club would like to thank Mr. Cole for the time and dedication that he gives to make this club possible. Please contact Mr. Cole at jcole@rogerbacon.org for any additional information.
