Siena Univeristy Admission and Scholarship

Students that attend Roger Bacon have the opportunity to take advantage of an exclusive partnership with Siena University.

One of our sister schools in the Franciscan education model, Siena University is nestled in the heart of New York’s Capital Region. Siena University stands as a beacon of academic excellence and compassionate leadership, rooted deeply in its Franciscan tradition. Founded by the Order of Friars Minor in 1937, Siena is more than a university — it’s a vibrant, values-driven community where intellect meets integrity. Just like Roger Bacon. Siena is guided by the principles of St. Francis of Assisi, and fosters a spirit of humility, service, and respect for all creation, empowering students to become thoughtful leaders and ethical global citizens. With a strong liberal arts foundation and a commitment to social justice, Siena cultivates not only the mind but the heart—encouraging students to learn with purpose and lead with love. Siena's Loudonville, NY campus is considered one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. With an enrollment of just around 3,400 students, Siena offers a small, close-knit, Franciscan environment similar to Roger Bacon.

As part of our exclusive agreement as a Franciscan sister school, Roger Bacon graduates will receive the following benefits:

Students who attend Roger Bacon and maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average will receive automatic admission, and a $20,000 per year scholarship above and beyond any other merit or need based scholarships earned by the student. With Siena's reputation of generosity with scholarships and aid, this exclusive award will give Roger Bacon students an option for a very affordable college degree. Students with GPA below 3.0 will be considered individually.

Siena will waiver all Common Application Fees.

Any Roger Bacon alumnus that does not graduate within 4 years, Siena will cover 100% of remaining tuition until degree is earned.

Siena will also host an exclusive virtual tour and information session each year for Roger Bacon to learn more about Siena, its programs, and its affordability.

This also can be used for the Albany Medical College (although acceptance to this program is required) which would include guaranteed acceptance to the medical school.

Siena University regularly offers a very generous scholarship and aid package for incoming students, with an average scholarship and aid package of $30,000 - $39,000 per year. The Siena Guarantee ensures that students receive a minimum of $57,000 in scholarships and aid over four years. With the additional Roger Bacon scholarship of $20,000, against tuition and fees of $46,000 (and total cost to attend of $62,000), the cost of a college degree at Siena for Roger Bacon graduates becomes very accessible.

The Wall Street Journal recently ranked Siena University as 69th among all universities nationally, based on student experience, outcomes, success after graduation. College Consensus also noted Siena as the 9th ranked Catholic university in the U.S.
