3 Application for Admission - 8th Grade Applicants

Once you create your SpartanLink account, 8th grade applicants may choose between the General Admission or the Freshman Honors Program Application. In order to complete the application, a Release of Records Form and two teacher recommendations must be submitted.

Release of Records:

  1. Catholic elementary school applicants should use the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Release of Records Authorization. This form will be given at your son our daughter's school and is due to them on November 1st.
  2. Non-Catholic elementary school applicants should use the Roger Bacon Release of Records Form. This is available for download in your SpartanLink account.

Teacher Recommendation Forms:

  1. All applicants should enter the email addresses of two teachers (7th/8th grade math and 7th/8th grade language arts or social studies) in the Recommendation link on SpartanLink. Digital recommendation forms will be sent to the teachers you choose.

The Admissions Committee carefully reviews each applicant in choosing the best candidates for our school. Applications for the Class of 2029 are due on Monday, November 25, 2024.

In addition, each student will be given a prompt to upload a personal statement. This year’s prompt for ninth grade admissions is:

As a Franciscan school, Roger Bacon High School’s motto is “In Holiness and Learning” because we are committed to developing the soul, mind, and heart of all students. In what ways do you hope to grow as a person in your faith and academics during high school? How will you use your gifts to make Roger Bacon a better place?

4 Application for Admissions - Transfer Students

Once you create your SpartanLink account, you will be able to log-in to SpartanLink and access your Transfer checklist. This includes the transfer application for admission, as well as a place to upload current academic records.

Due to Roger Bacon's enrollment cap, space for transfer students is extremely limited. Admission of transfer students is dependent on the availability of space in the respective class

While a student is welcome to complete a transfer application at any time throughout the school year, transfer applications are generally only considered during the spring, for admission in the fall of the following school year. On rare occasions, Roger Bacon may grant admission to a student during semester break of the current school year, based on the basis of a student's specific circumstance, as well as and academic record and recommendations.

Transfer students are subject to an interview with the admissions team,

5 Complete a FACTS Application

Roger Bacon High School believes the cost of a parochial education should not be a deterrent for your family. We recommend all families, especially those requesting financial aid, complete a FACTS application as part of the application to Roger Bacon.

While not the only tool Roger Bacon uses to determine financial need, FACTS provides independent analysis that ensures we are able to do our best to meet expected need, and make access to a Roger Bacon education possible.

You can find the FACTS application HERE.
