Roger Bacon Scholarships for Underclass Students

Moose - The Heart of the Community Scholarship Program

For High School Juniors (Class of 2025).

The applicant my be:

  • A student of the high school graduating Class of 2025
  • Have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who is current member of the Moose.
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Completing the above qualifies for a chance for a $1,000 scholarship. If the applicant completes one or more of the optional criteria below he/she will qualify for a chance for a $5,000 scholarship:

  • In-School/Extra-Curricular activities (sports, band, chess club, theater, etc.)
  • Out-of-school activities (employment, scouting, music lessons, non-school related sports).
  • Volunteer on behalf of a fraternal unit of the Moose.

Applications can be found here or in the Student Services Office and the deadline to apply is June 30, 2024.

University Tutor Scholarship Contest

University Tutor holds a monthly $100 scholarship contest to any student over the age of 16. Just answer the monthly essay prompt. Click here for the monthly prompt.

L.A. Tutors Monthly Scholarship

LA Tutors awards students who showcase their creativity and make positive impacts with a $500 Innovation in Education scholarship. On an ongoing monthly basis, this scholarship is open to all currently enrolled high school and college students who showcase their creativity while helping those around them (whether that be in a creative fundraiser, inventive new app, series of blog posts on a particular theme, etc.). The application deadline is 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of each month.

Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in high school or college with a cumulative CPA of at least 3.0 and be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. Click here for full details and application.

Simon Lazarus, Jr. Human Relations Award (High School Juniors and Seniors)

Simon Lazarus, Jr., Human Relations Award nominees exhibit integrity, reliability, creativity, and compassion in everyday activities, and who, individually, volunteer to:
• Act to reduce prejudice, hate, intolerance
• Build bridges with others and work together to serve community needs
• Lead others to tackle social issues with tangible impact

This scholarship essay competition is an opportunity for Junior and Senior High School students to demonstrate their commitment to community service and responsibility to repairing our world.

Association of Ohio Commodores Scholarship

The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio is pleased to announce the availability of a new scholarship for K-12 students.

All Scholarship awards must be used for tuition and related expenses at the recipient's educational institution. Scholarships will be awarded from the Fund to students meeting the following criteria:

  • Must be accepted into and attend primary and secondary schools in Ohio
  • Priority will be given to low-income primary and secondary school students

Application forms must be completed and emailed no later than May 15, 2024. Application can be picked up in the Student Services Office.
