Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a simple and flexible way to support Roger Bacon High School while also giving to other organizations you care about.

With a DAF, you can make charitable contributions during your lifetime and involve your family in continuing your legacy of generosity for years to come.

Why Consider a Donor Advised Fund?

A DAF offers several advantages for donors who want a streamlined approach to charitable giving:

  • Create a convenient structure for ongoing, annual gifts
  • Often more cost-effective and easier to manage than a private foundation
  • Receive a charitable tax deduction in the year you make your contribution
  • Grow your charitable funds tax-free over time

How a Donor Advised Fund Works

Getting started with a DAF is straightforward:

  1. Make a Contribution
You establish your fund by contributing cash, stock, or other assets through a sponsoring organization.
  2. Tax-Free Growth
Once contributed, those funds can be invested and grow without being subject to taxes.
  3. Recommend Grants
Over time, you recommend distributions from your fund to Roger Bacon High School and other charitable organizations.

Using Your DAF to Support Roger Bacon

A donor advised fund allows you to make a larger initial gift and then distribute support to Roger Bacon High School over time.

When you’re ready to give, simply request a grant from your DAF provider. Once received, we will recognize your generosity as a gift made through your donor advised fund.

A Legacy of Giving

Many families choose to name children or loved ones as successors to their DAF. This allows the tradition of charitable giving to continue, creating a lasting impact that reflects your values.

If you’d like help making a gift through your donor advised fund or have questions about how it fits into your overall giving plan, we’re happy to assist.
