Anne Nurre Heidt Atrium

On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Roger Bacon celebrated the dedication of the Anne Nurre Heidt Atrium and Our Lady of the Angels Chapel. Construction on this transformative addition began in April 2025 and was made possible through the extraordinary generosity of our alumni, families, friends, and benefactors.

Their support helped Roger Bacon surpass the goal of We Are the Good Soil Capital Campaign, the largest capital campaign in school history. The new Atrium and Chapel stand as a lasting testament to the generosity of the Roger Bacon community and an investment in generations of Spartans to come.

³ Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. ⁴ As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. ⁵ Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. ⁶ But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. ⁷ Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. ⁸ Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Statistics tell us that when high school students graduate, many will fall away from their faith. These young men and women are the “seed.” As young adults, many will seek out their faith again once their circle of responsibility grows with work, marriage, and children. When they reach this point in their life, Roger Bacon will be the "good soil" which will support their faith journey.
