By participating, you agree that:
ELIGIBILITY: You must be 18 years or older to purchase a raffle entry. All Roger Bacon High School, the Franciscan Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (collectively, “RBHS”) staff, board, committee members, and employees are eligible to participate and can win a prize in the raffle. Purchasers of raffle tickets must be U.S. residents physically residing in the United States and not be precluded from participating by any governmental law or regulation. An affidavit of eligibility may be required from prize winners. NOTE, HOWEVER, THAT THE METHOD OF PURCHASE MAY BE LIMITED BASED ON YOUR RESIDENCY. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Raffle tickets are non-transferable. All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be made, except under the following circumstances: any payment received after the deadline for the applicable method of entry. No other refunds are available except in the exclusive discretion of RBHS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Any questions about these Terms and Conditions should be directed to the Raffle Administrator: Brandon Spaeth – bspaeth@rogerbacon.org.
RAFFLE TICKET PURCHASES: RBHS and its agents, volunteers, partners, employees, and students assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, illegible, or undelivered entries. Entries received without proper payment will be deemed invalid and shall be disqualified immediately. All purchases of tickets are non-refundable (except at the discretion of RBHS in the event of ineligibility).
Chances may be purchased:
Raffle entries and payments for raffle tickets may not be submitted through the U.S. Mail. Checks and cash must be delivered directly to Roger Bacon High School in accordance with the deadlines stated in these Terms and Conditions. When an order is placed using the cash/check option, an authorized representative from RBHS will complete the ticket entry by filling in the name, address, and phone number provided and will enter the raffle ticket in the drawing online. Checks should be made payable to Roger Bacon High School. Credit cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Physical tickets will not be given out. Each eligible chance purchased will be represented by a separate physical entry printed by RBHS and placed into the raffle hopper for the drawing. All chances will be printed and put into a hopper to pull a winning name at halftime of Homecoming on October 9, 2026. Chances purchased for “A Random Student” will be switched on the backend of the website the week of the purchase and be assigned to a random participant.
[Please Note: The mailing and email addresses provided during the ticket purchase shall be considered the addresses for all future correspondence between RBHS and the entrant. If either of these addresses changes, it is the entrant’s responsibility to inform RBHS of such change via the Raffle Administrator listed above.]
RAFFLE TICKET PRICES: Raffle tickets may be purchased at the following prices: one (1) ticket for $20, six (6) tickets for $100, or fourteen (14) tickets for $200. If “Other Amount” is selected, chances will be calculated using the same scale: $20 per chance, with bonus chances at each $100 and $200 mark.
DRAWING: The Draw Date is Friday, October 9, 2026, during halftime of our Homecoming Football game beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m. EDT. Ticket sales shall cease at 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 8, 2026. In this raffle, only one ticket will win the prize, and there is no possibility of a tie. The winning ticket will physically be drawn from a rotating raffle hopper. Each ticket purchased will be entered separately in the drawing. Each ticket has a separate and equal chance of winning as the prize is being drawn. A single entrant may purchase multiple tickets, and each ticket shall be separately entered and separately eligible for winning.
GRAND PRIZE: The prize winner will have thirty (30) days from the Draw Date to make arrangements for the claim and pickup of their prize. The prize is a 2026 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks. The winner must arrange for pickup of the prize; it will not be delivered. RBHS does not offer a cash alternative in lieu of the vehicle. However, Queen City Ford (Mark Williams Auto Group) has agreed to provide the winner the opportunity to sell the vehicle to the dealership following the award of the prize. Any such transaction will be solely between the winner and Queen City Ford (Mark Williams Auto Group). The amount offered by the dealership will be based on the dealership’s then-current wholesale/trade-in value of the vehicle and should not be interpreted as the retail value of the Grand Prize or as a cash prize offered by RBHS.
The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, as well as any title, registration, licensing, insurance, or other fees or expenses associated with accepting and taking possession of the vehicle, unless otherwise required by law.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: The winner need not be present to win. The winner will be notified by phone and by email with the required procedures to claim the prize. The winner’s name will be shared to all those who enter the raffle and posted at www.rogerbacon.org within two (2) business days after the Draw Date. The winner must respond to RBHS and begin the prize-claim process within thirty (30) business days of notification and must complete all requirements necessary to claim the prize within thirty (30) days of the Draw Date. The winner’s name and photo may be printed in select media, at http://rogerbacon.org, in news releases, and in other publicity for and from RBHS. If the winner is unable to be contacted or fails to claim the prize within thirty (30) days of the Draw Date, the prize will be considered forfeited and will revert to RBHS, subject to applicable law. Three (3) attempts will be made to contact the winning entry via phone, email, and registered mail at the contact information provided by the entry purchaser. To claim the prize, emailed confirmation together with a photo ID will be required. An affidavit of eligibility may be required from the prize winner.
TAXES AND IRS RULES: Winner is responsible for any and all federal, state, and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments, and like charges associated with the prize. Winner will also be responsible for all costs associated with title, registration, licensing, insurance, retrieval, transportation, and/or acceptance of the prize, unless otherwise required by law. The cost of the raffle ticket is not tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor with any questions. Winner shall cooperate by providing necessary information for reporting of the winnings for tax purposes, including any information or documentation required by applicable IRS rules. If your state has particular rules about winning/playing raffles in other states, it is the responsibility of the winner to abide by those rules/regulations.
WAIVER AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating (and winners, by accepting the prize), release RBHS, the Franciscan Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and each of their respective agents, staff, employees, volunteers, members and independent contractors and each of their respective officers, directors, partners, employees and agents (including advertising and promotion agencies) (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession or use of the prize awarded. Entrants will not hold the Released Parties responsible or liable for any or all accidents, theft, or damages resulting from their participation in this event. Entrants further agree that they did not receive any representations, warranties, or guarantees, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize. By purchasing a ticket, the entrant acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these rules and regulations. Any liabilities shall be limited to the price paid for ticket purchase and, in the event of any dispute, RBHS’s decision shall be final to the extent permitted by applicable law.
RELEASE: Entrants, by participating, agree to allow RBHS and its media and advertising partners to use their name, photos, videotape, likeness, and statements in promotional material without compensation. RBHS will not share other personal information from entries with other organizations.
RULES: The Official Rules and the Raffle conducted pursuant thereto shall be construed and enforced in accordance with and shall be subject to the applicable provisions of the Ohio Constitution (Section 6 of Article XV) and Ohio’s Bingo and Raffles Law (Ohio Revised Code, Title 29, Chapter 2915). If there is a conflict between these Rules and the laws of the State of Ohio, the laws of the State of Ohio shall govern. This Raffle is void where prohibited. These Official Rules may not be waived, modified, or supplemented except in writing by RBHS. RBHS reserves the right not to proceed with the Raffle in its discretion and, in such event, an entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy shall be to receive a refund of the cost of the entry, without interest.
ANY CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE RAFFLE OR THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL BE SETTLED BY BINDING ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION (PURSUANT TO ITS EXPEDITED PROCEDURES) UNDER ITS COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION RULES AND CONDUCTED IN CINCINNATI, OHIO, AND JUDGMENT ON THE AWARD RENDERED BY THE ARBITRATOR MAY BE ENTERED IN ANY COURT HAVING JURISDICTION THEREOF.
ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT, OR DAMAGE THE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS RAFFLE WEBSITE OR OTHER METHODS OF ENTRY, OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE RAFFLE, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW. SHOULD ANY SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, RBHS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND TO DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE RAFFLE.
