Jocelyn Carraher

Jocelyn Carraher (St. Ignatius) earned both academic and athletic scholarships. She graduated from Tiffin University in 2025, and is a JD Candidate at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, set to graduate in 2028.

"Experiencing a Roger Bacon education has shaped my collegiate academic and personal success in ways I could not have imagined when I was a high school student. The writing methods I was taught through the Assisi Scholars AP English and History classes form almost the exact analytical format that was expected for my undergraduate research papers and law school exams, not to mention how RB’s culture of always treating others with dignity and respect has allowed me to develop a greater understanding of clients’ issues early in my career. I was warned that law school would force me to reevaluate my time management skills, but I fortunately never struggled with that thanks to the lessons I learned balancing a rigorous academic workload with soccer obligations and other extracurriculars at RB. I could not begin to count the number of times I have been complimented on my character or the way I carry myself or the way I write – including most recently in my work for a Cincinnati law firm – and I owe many of those qualities to Roger Bacon High School. There is truly no place like RB, and I am proud to be a Spartan for life."
