Sue (Hinnenkamp) Huerkamp '72 Wins 2024 Joseph A. Kneip Distinguished Service Award

Roger Bacon High School is proud to announce the winner of the 2024 Joseph A. Kneip Distinguished Service Award as Sue (Hinnenkamp) Huerkamp '72!

The Joseph A. Kneip Distinguished Service Award is given in memory of Joe Kneip, a long-time teacher at Roger Bacon who died from melanoma in 1994 at the young age of 59. Joe valued the well-being of his students above all else. His Socratic teaching method developed critical thinking skills in his students. In addition to being an outstanding teacher, Joe was a great friend to so many. This is the most honored award we have to recognize excellence by a faculty or staff member.

The selection committee, comprised of past award winners, selected Our Lady of the Angels graduate, Sue Huerkamp ‘72 as the 2024 winner. Sue is a member of the Advancement Department and has been affiliated with Roger Bacon in a variety of positions for 30 years. Congratulations Sue – we are proud of you and Roger Bacon High School is a better place thanks to all of your dedicated service to our school!

Sue will be presented the award immediately after our all-school mass on April 25th.
