Roger Bacon’s Mock Trial team showcased their talent and dedication at the District Competition on January 30th at the Hamilton County Courthouse!
The Defense Team — Counsel Gabe Ater De Lemos '26 and Jamyah Mays-Roddy '28, along with witnesses Auggie Mandeville '28 and Elsie Routt '28— took on a strong prosecution team from Sycamore High School. In Trial 2, the Prosecution Team — Counsel Helen Russell '27 and Ceci Klinczar '27, alongside witnesses Vivian Clinczar '28 and Harper Muccillo '28— faced a competitive defense team from Elder High School.
Both teams delivered outstanding performances, demonstrating impressive preparation, powerful arguments, and strong knowledge of case law. While Roger Bacon will not advance to Regionals this year, the Spartans represented the school with excellence, professionalism, and heart.
Mrs. Heidel shared, “I am so very proud of this team! They worked hard and went toe to toe with the competition. I could not be more happy!”
Congratulations to the Mock Trial Spartans on their hard work and commitment!
