Roger Bacon High School recently hosted its first-ever “RockFest,” bringing together student musicians from local Catholic high schools for an unforgettable evening of live performances, collaboration, and community.
The event marked the first major collaboration among area Catholic high schools featuring “Rock Ensembles” and “Modern Band” programs. Students from Roger Bacon were joined by performers from McNicholas High School’s ROCKet Band and Badin High School’s Badin Rocks, creating a night filled with energy, talent, and school spirit.
Throughout the evening, each group had dedicated time on stage to showcase their musical talents and unique styles. Beyond the performances, students also had the opportunity to connect with one another, meet fellow musicians, and even jam together between sets — making the night as much about community as it was about music.
The Roger Bacon community also turned out in full force to support the event. A packed crowd filled the Fogarty Activity Center, creating an electric atmosphere that made the evening even more memorable for the student performers.
Roger Bacon extends a heartfelt thank you to the students, directors, families, and supporters who helped make the inaugural RockFest such a tremendous success. The school looks forward to continuing this exciting tradition and celebrating the creativity and collaboration of student musicians for years to come.
