This past weekend, the Roger Bacon High School Drama Guild brought energy, humor, and heart to the stage with its production of 9 to 5: The Musical. With lively performances, sharp comedic timing, and a strong sense of collaboration, the cast and crew delivered a memorable show that entertained audiences and showcased the depth of talent within the Roger Bacon community.
Based on the hit 1980 film, 9 to 5 follows three women as they navigate workplace challenges with wit, determination, and a little bit of mischief. The Roger Bacon production captured the spirit of the story, blending laugh-out-loud moments with meaningful themes of empowerment and teamwork.
Students took center stage both in front of and behind the curtain. The cast delivered dynamic vocal performances and engaging character portrayals, while the crew worked tirelessly to ensure seamless scene changes, lighting, sound, and set design. Together, their dedication and countless hours of rehearsal were evident in every aspect of the production.
The success of the show is also a testament to the guidance and support of the Drama Guild moderators and volunteers, who helped bring the production to life while fostering a positive and creative environment for students to grow.
Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, and production team on a fantastic weekend of performances. Your hard work, creativity, and passion made 9 to 5 a standout success and a true celebration of the arts at Roger Bacon High School.
