Roger Bacon Alumni Corey Kiner ’21 and James Thompson Jr. ’20 Earn Spots on NFL Rosters

Two former Roger Bacon football standouts have officially earned their place at the highest level of the game.

Corey Kiner ’21 and James Thompson Jr. ’20 have both made NFL 53-man rosters for the 2026 season. Kiner earned a spot at running back with the New England Patriots, while Thompson Jr. made the San Francisco 49ers roster on the defensive line.

The accomplishment marks an exciting milestone for both former Spartans as they continue their football careers on the NFL stage.
