RB Sends Off This Year's Seniors in Style

On May 23, the Roger Bacon student body came together one last time to send off the Class of 2024 in style with the 2024 Senior Send-off Assembly. With tired eyes and comfy clothes after their Senior Lock-In the night before, the Class of 2024 came together in the FAC for their last official act as students of Roger Bacon before graduation.

Senior superlatives were awarded for various categories like "Class Clown", "Most Likely to Teach at RB" and even "Best Hair". Then the seniors were shown their class video taking them through four years worth of memories and getting some well wishes from treasured teachers. Mr. Burke took some time to remind the seniors that even as they exit the halls of RB, that they have had an immeasurable impact on the Roger Bacon community throughout their four years.

Those seniors who have committed to continue their athletic careers at the next level were also honored by signing their letters of intent. The following seniors have committed to continue their athletic careers:

  • Parker Cribbs: University of Virginia – WISE (Lacrosse)
  • Kyle Hauser: Ave Maria University (Baseball)
  • Jah’mir Hutsell: Wilmington College (Football)
  • Joe Kennedy: Culver Stockton College (Football)
  • Joey Lee: Wilmington College (Football)
  • A.J. Meyer: Mount Saint Joseph University (Baseball)
  • Kelsey Niesen: Xavier University (Volleyball)
  • Riley Rolfert: Thomas More University (Soccer)
  • Ethan Smith: Thomas More University (Wrestling)
    

Finally, after a highly anticipated countdown, the seniors were sent off and headed down the famous marble staircase as they exited the school one last time as current students. All of Roger Bacon is excited to continue celebrating the class of 2024 as we head into this class's final stop: graduation.
