Madison Stecher '25 & Reese Reilly '26 are Headed to State


Congratulations to Madison Stecher ’25 and Reese Reilly ’26 who participated in the State Swim Meet in Canton, OH! Madison and Reese are the first Spartan females to qualify for State since 2006 (Laura Brichler '06). The last appearance at State for the Roger Bacon Swim Team was in 2018 (Ben Enderle '18).

Madison finished 20th in the 500 Freestyle Prelims with a time of 5:20.39 and 32nd in the 100 Backstroke Prelims with a time of 1:01.80.

Reese finished 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke Finals with a time of 1:05.33 and 7th in the 200 IM Finals with a time of 2:08.13.

They both qualified for State after their strong performances in the District Meet at Miami University.

At the District Meet, Madison Stecher '25 finished 9th in the 500 Freestyle (5:18.35) and 14th in the 100 Backstroke (1:01.02). Madison broke the school record in the 100 Backstroke! Reese Reilly '26 finished in 4th place in the 200 IM (2:08.37) and 1st in the 100 Breaststroke (1:05.53). Reese was the District Champion and automatically qualified to the State Meet with winning the 100 Breaststroke.

Per our records, Reese is our first District Champion since 1994 when Andrea Lemmink '94 won the 50 free!
