Claudia Hoffmann '26 & Lizzy Mumper '26 Win Lamb Scholarship

Roger Bacon High School is proud to announce that Claudia Hoffmann and Lizzy Mumper have been named the 2026 recipients of the Lamb Scholarship, an annual award recognizing students for their commitment to academics, extracurricular involvement, and the study of literature.

The Lamb Scholarship was established several years ago through the generosity of an anonymous benefactor. Each year, the scholarship provides $1,000 to Roger Bacon student(s) to help offset the costs associated with their freshman year of college.

Recipients of the Lamb Scholarship must meet several criteria that reflect both academic dedication and engagement in the school community. Students must have completed at least two years of a foreign language, actively participated in extracurricular activities, and submitted a 500-word essay offering a personal response to a piece of English or Irish literature.

Claudia Hoffmann and Lizzy Mumper exemplify these qualities through their academic achievements, involvement at Roger Bacon, and thoughtful engagement with literature. Their selection reflects not only their hard work in the classroom, but also their meaningful contributions to the broader school community.

English department chair, Ms. Douglas said, "We couldn't have chosen two more deserving students than Lizzy and Claudia. They both have left their mark at Roger Bacon and are going forward to do even greater things in college."

Roger Bacon congratulates Claudia and Lizzy on this well-deserved honor and wishes them continued success as they begin their college journeys.
