Roger Bacon is proud to announce that Claire Evans '25 has been announced as one of the 115 finalists chosen for the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes Art Effect competition!
This is a nationwide competition that takes place annually. The finalists encompassed 64 Unsung Heroes stories, and were presented by 16 middle school and 99 high school students from 24 states across the United States, as well as 5 other countries around the world: Australia, Canada, Lithuania, South Korea, and United Arab Emirates. Claire did her project on Mary Anning.
You may have seen her piece in this year's art show where it won best in show for mixed media work. The winners of the contest will be announced on June 2nd.
Visual arts teach, Cindy Foley, said, "I am incredibly proud of Claire Evans for her outstanding contribution to the Fine Arts Department and her remarkable achievement in the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes Art Effect competition. Claire’s hard work and dedication have truly shined, as her project was selected as one of 115 finalists out of thousands of entries nationwide. Her talent and commitment are an inspiration to us all!"
