Chase Obert Receives Saint Clare Award

At graduation last week, Roger Bacon High School continued its tradition of recognizing members of the Class of 2026 whose lives reflect the values and mission of the school through a series of special awards.

This year's Saint Clare Award was presented to Chase Obert.

The Saint Clare Award honors a graduating senior who exemplifies a particular commitment to prayer and courage. Saint Clare of Assisi left behind a life of wealth and prestige to embrace a deeply devoted relationship with the Lord. Through her leadership of the Poor Clare Sisters, she demonstrated a life rooted in joyful service, contemplation, and faith.

Chase has distinguished himself as a student who quietly and consistently lives out those same values. Through his commitment to his faith, thoughtful leadership, and care for others, he has made a lasting impact on the Roger Bacon community.

Spiritual Life Director Johanna Becker reflected on why Chase was chosen for this honor.

"He's a great guy that always tries to understand others. He lives out his faith and inspires others," shared a classmate when nominating Chase for the award.

Becker added:

"Just like St. Clare, Chase is gentle and kind, reflective, prayerful, and courageous. He lives his faith with gentle steps."

The Roger Bacon community congratulates Chase on this well-deserved recognition. His example of faith, humility, and compassion serves as an inspiration to his fellow Spartans and embodies the spirit of Saint Clare. We wish him God's blessings as he begins the next chapter of his journey.
