Roger Bacon High School proudly congratulates senior Caden Broenner ’26 on earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Scouting America.
Caden began his Scouting journey in 2014 as a Cub Scout with St. Gabriel’s Pack 260. Throughout his years in Scouting, he participated in numerous activities and traditions including the Pinewood Derby, popcorn sales, and placing flags on the graves of veterans in honor of their service.
In the spring of 2019, Caden crossed over to Boy Scout Troop 974, where he continued developing leadership skills while embracing adventure and service through campouts, competitions, and hands-on experiences. His Scouting accomplishments include participation in shooting sports, the Klondike Derby, community service projects, game design, and even wild caving — including spending the night inside a cave.
Caden also attended three national high adventure bases: Summit Bechtel Reserve, Philmont Scout Ranch, and Florida Sea Base, earning Scouting’s prestigious Triple Crown Award.
For his Eagle Scout service project, Caden chose to give back to the Roger Bacon community by tearing out and rebuilding the school’s backlot sign area after the original sign was damaged. The project included constructing a new brick wall and flowerbed, creating a more visible and welcoming entrance to campus while leaving a lasting improvement for the school community.
Caden’s work reflects the Franciscan values at the heart of a Roger Bacon education — using his time, talent, and leadership to serve others and strengthen his community.
This summer, Caden plans to continue his Scouting adventures through a Swamp Base trek in Louisiana.
Congratulations, Caden, on this incredible accomplishment and on earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
