Roger Bacon High School is proud to share that our 11th cohort of Assisi Scholars has departed for their all-expenses-paid pilgrimage to Assisi and Rome - an experience that marks the culmination of their journey in the Dr. Deb Luebbe Assisi Scholars Program.
The Assisi Scholars Program is designed to foster rigorous academic, spiritual, and leadership growth. Throughout their time at Roger Bacon, these students distinguish themselves through excellence in the classroom and meaningful involvement in school and community initiatives. As a cohort, they form a close-knit community of learners who challenge, support, and inspire one another.
Rooted in the Franciscan tradition, this pilgrimage is a truly one-of-a-kind opportunity and one that sets Roger Bacon apart from any other high school in the area. More than just a trip abroad, it is an immersive experience that invites students to encounter and live the teachings of St. Francis and St. Clare in a deeply meaningful and lasting way.
The Dr. Deb Luebbe Assisi Scholars Program culminates in two defining experiences: an academic capstone presentation and this life-changing pilgrimage to Italy - both of which prepare students to lead with knowledge, faith, and purpose.
