Madison Stecher '25 & Reese Reilly '26 cap off their season at State!

This past Thursday and Friday Spartan Swimming Competed in the State Division II Swim Championships in Canton, Ohio.

Qualifying into the Division II State Championships were Sophomore Madison Stecher and Freshman Reese Reilly. On Thursday during the Prelim Portion of the State Championships

Sophomore Madison Stecher finished 20th in the 500 Freestyle and 32nd in the 100 Backstroke.

Freshman Reese Reilly finished in 8th in the 200 IM and 5th in the 100 Breaststroke. Reese’s swims were able to move on to Friday Night’s Division II State Championships Finals. Reese’s swims qualified her for the Championship Final and a chance at a State Title.

In finals- Reese Reilly moved up one spot to finish in 7th in the 200 IM. Reese moved up to 2 spots in the 100 Breaststroke with a final surge on the last 25 yards of her race to finish in 3rd place. Both races put her on top of the podium in Division II. Reese’s races also secured two All Ohio Team spots in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Reese is the first swimmer to podium for Roger Bacon in over 12 years.
