Sparty, Gapper & RB Baseball take over St. Ignatius

On April 18, several members of Roger Bacon's boys baseball team got to return home to their grade school alma mater, St. Ignatius, to pay a visit along with the special guests Gapper and our own Sparty mascot.

Coach McCoy and the baseball St. Ignatius alumni surprised the St. I's students on recess for an afternoon full of fun to celebrate the upcoming RB Night at Great American Ballpark on April 20.

"These guys were thrilled with the opportunity to visit their grade school with Gapper," said Coach McCoy. "They were able to interact with the students at recess and visit with former teachers. Several of them have younger siblings who currently attend St. Ignatius. The St. I students were ecstatic seeing Gapper and Sparty, together!"

From kickball to duck-duck-goose, it was a great afternoon of making memories for our current, and future, Spartans.
