Shadowing

Shadowing at Roger Bacon gives future Spartans an opportunity to explore classes, meet students and teachers, and learn more about extracurricular activities. After spending the day with us, you'll already feel like part of our RB family.

Shadows will experience an abbreviated school day from 8:30-11:45 am. Rather than following a single student, shadows will rotate between three classes, based on their interests and academic track. At the end of the morning, shadows will have the opportunity to tour the school and talk to students and admissions staff.

This year, extra precautions will be taken to ensure the health and safety of both our shadows and current students. Shadowing is available for current 8th-graders only.

Available In-Person Shadow Dates:

December: 3, 4, 7, 9, 10

*This list will be updated as dates are filled - full days are marked out. Shadowing is limited to 8 students per day.

Please call the Office of Admissions at 513-641-1313 or email admissions@rogerbacon.org to schedule a shadow day. Space on each shadow day is limited, so schedule early!

Shadowing Procedures

  • Shadows should be dropped off at the school's front entry at 8:30 am. They will be met by students and admissions staff when they arrive.
  • Prior to shadowing, shadows and their families should review Roger Bacon's COVID-19 Policies and Procedures. Be sure students are symptom-free and have not been recently exposed to anyone with COVID-19.
  • Students must wear a solid-colored mask that covers their mouth, nose, and chin. If they do not have a mask, we can provide one!
  • Shadows will have their temperature checked when they arrive at school. They will be sent home if their temperature exceeds 100.3 degrees.
  • Students may wear their gradeschool uniform, or, if they do not have a uniform, dress pants or skirt and a polo or other collared shirt.
  • Shadowing concludes at 11:45 am. Students can be picked at the front of school at this time.

Parent Info Session

If interested, parents are welcome to stay at the beginning of their child's shadow day for a school tour and brief information session with the Admissions Office. Please let us know when you schedule your shadow day if one or more parents plan to stay for the meeting. We usually conclude around 9:15 am.
