We have received the Reset and Restart Education Planning Guide for Ohio Schools and Districts. We are using this planning guide, along with guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the Catholic Schools Office (CSO), Archdiocese of Cincinnati, to determine how Roger Bacon will open the 2020/21 school year.
Our parent survey indicated that most families strongly prefer some
form of in-person learning for students this school year, as opposed to
an
entirely online option. Click here for more insights from the parent survey. Understanding
that responses to the COVID-19 pandemic are fluid and subject to change based upon health necessities, Roger
Bacon can meet State and local health and safety concerns, so we are
planning to start the 2020/21 school year with in-person school five (5)
days per week.
In some circumstances, certain students may choose or be required to attend school remotely.

Reducing the riskIf there has been one constant during this COVID-19 pandemic, it is that nothing is constant! As we move forward with plans for opening school in August in the safest manner possible, we also realize that events are constantly changing. We will be flexible in our educational approach, knowing that there is a possibility that sometime during the school year we may be forced to adopt a more restrictive school model (i.e., Option 2 or 3). We will be prepared!
