iPads at Roger Bacon
The device that changed everything is now making an impact at Roger Bacon High School. We are proud to say that starting fall 2012, the iPad will be the new technology used at Roger Bacon. Each incoming student will receive the new iPad loaded with their textbooks, Roger Bacon app package and access to the world at their fingertips.
Technology will never replace the relationship between a teacher and a student; however the iPad will enhance the classroom experience for all. The faculty and staff of Roger Bacon are excited about this new technology. With thousands of Apps to choose from, students will have the opportunity to take notes, write papers, create presentations, spread sheets, tables and charts to master the technology skills needed in today’s world.
"iPad provides students and teachers with the cutting-edge technology needed to support 21st century student learning. Targeted use of technology in the classroom promotes collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. With thousands of Apps available for classroom use across many content and skill areas, I am confident that the iPad will be another valuable educational tool that enhances our students’ college and workforce readiness." -- Dr. Deborah Luebbe, English Chair
