Roger Bacon Alumni Association

Roger Bacon High School connections extend throughout the world. More than 21,000 alumni of Roger Bacon and Our Lady of Angels High Schools have carried on the Franciscan tradition, continuing their journeys with character and service to others.

In 1985, after Our Lady of the Angels High School closed, an alliance was formed combining all of the graduates of Roger Bacon and OLA in one unified association.

The Alumni Association and its activities are coordinated by the Director of Alumni Relations in Roger Bacon's Office of Institutional Advancement.

Alumni Association gatherings provide a forum for alumni involvement and ongoing support for the school and its programs. Class reunions, coordinated by the Office of Alumni Relations, are held throughout the year. A Golden Reunion Mass and Brunch is offered in April each year for class reunions of 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 years. Each fall, the Alumni Association honors alumni(ae) who have made exceptional contributions of service to their communities at the annual Alumni Awards Banquet. At homecoming, all alumni are invited back to the school to enjoy a cookout, pre-game parade and the football game and this year there are additional plans to host an OLA alumni tea at Laurel Court in College Hill. An OLA outing and bus trip is offered each October for alums, friends and family. Every year in the spring alumni (both RB and OLA) golf outings are held for alumni and friends to enjoy. The Alumni Association added two more summer social events recently, Roger Bacon Night at the Cincinnati Reds ballgame and a Night at Riverbend with the Cincinnati Symphony Pops Orchestra.

The alumni magazine, Reunion, is published twice a year and features news, stories and information pertinent to graduates of Roger Bacon and OLA. Alumni Association meetings are held each month (except July) on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. (usually in the Library/Media Center). All alumni are invited to attend.

Roger Bacon Alumni Association Important Dates:

July 2, 2010	First Friday Alumni Mass and Breakfast – Join RB and OLA grads, friends and parents for Mass at 8:15 a.m. in the Our Lady of Angels Chapel. Enter through the cafeteria. Enjoy coffee, pastries and a social gathering after Mass in the cafeteria. Parking is available on the Plaza directly in front of school. No reservations are required.
July 29, 2010	.The Meg Gutzwiller Alumni Soccer Game Each summer our men's and women's soccer programs invite all Roger Bacon and Our Lady of the Angels alumni/ae to gather to play and reminisce. Click here for more information

July 31, 2010	Evening at the Pops Concert (Riverbend) $45 per person (picnic meal included). Meet at designated shelter in Coney Island prior to the Pops Concert - 6:30 p.m. Make reservations early, as we only have a limited number of Orchestra Pit seats (first five rows, center stage).
