President's Message

It is my privilege to share with the Roger Bacon High School family the rewards and challenges of educating our young men and women. Our school has a long history in the Cincinnati area and many strong traditions to uphold. As a school founded in the spirit of St. Francis, Roger Bacon pledges itself to remain rooted in the values of holiness and learning, self-discipline and compassion, the values expressed in our mission statement.

In prayer before the San Damiano crucifix, St. Francis received from the Lord the mission to rebuild the Church. His followers have taken up this same mission for over 780 years in countless and varied ministries. Today at Roger Bacon High School this mission continues, supported by our dedicated faculty, administration and staff.

Since its founding in 1928, Roger Bacon has enjoyed the sponsorship of the Franciscan Friars of St. John the Baptist. The Franciscan leadership delegates the duties of governance to the Board of Trustees. The Board and its working committees give direction to the school and work with the administration to assure its future growth.
