  • Thank you for your generosity to St. Vincent de Paul during Catholic Schools Week.  We filled four barrels with food and personal care items for our neighbors in need.  80% of the items collected were those most needed by St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.  Congratulations to the junior class for bringing in the most items. Students who want to help our neighbors in need are invited to join Roger Bacon's SVDP Conference.  Our next meeting is Monday, February 11th, during Flex.  For questions or information, contact our President, Anna Perry (, or our advisor, Ms. Vehorn (

  • Drivers Education classes start on Monday, February 11th. Information is available in the main office. Classes will be Mondays and Wednesdays for 4 weeks. 

  • The next PTO meeting will be on Tuesday, February 12th at Weidemann's Tap Room in St. Bernard at 7:00 pm.  We will discuss upcoming initiatives, fill you in on the latest developments for our spring events, and get the latest scoop from Administration.  Appetizers will be provided.  Please RSVP via Sign-Up Genius and let us know you are coming.  We look forward to seeing you there!

  • All Seniors - there is a meeting during Flex on Wednesday, February 13th in the Fine Arts Center regarding the upcoming fashion show (Senior Showcase).
  • The Chamber Choir will sing the National Anthem at the Cincinnati Cyclones game on Wednesday, February 13th. Tickets for the game are being sold as a fund raiser for the Chamber Choir. Tickets are $15 and the seats are in as large section so we are looking to have a great turn-out from the Roger Bacon community. If you would like to purchase tickets, please email Ms. Catie Murray at and indicate how many you would like to purchase. They can be paid for in cash or check (made out to Roger Bacon HS). Tickets will be hand delivered to you prior to the game. If you have never been to a Cyclones game, they are a lot of fun - hope you consider bringing your whole family!! 

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 14th from 3:00 - 8:00 pmAll parents are encouraged to arrange times to meet with as many of your student's teachers as possible. Scheduling can be accomplished on the school website (preferred method) or by calling the main office. If you schedule online through the website, log onto your SpartanLink account and click on the Resources button on the button bar across the top of the page. Then click on the Parent-Teacher icon on that page.

From the Guidance Office

  • We are planning a trip to Cincinnati State for an "Engage" program on Wednesday, February 20th.  This trip will provide a great opportunity for both our juniors and seniors to get an inside look at a few of the programs offered at Cincinnati State.  We will be taking a bus to Cincinnati State around 12:30 pm and returning at 2:35 pm prior to regular dismissal.  If any junior or senior is interested in participating in this program, please see your guidance counselor for information.

  • The Cincinnati Area Spring College Fair will be Tuesday, March 26th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University. More than 140 colleges and universities will be in attendance. Additional information is available at

  • Seniors
    • Keep checking the website for scholarships! We recently added two:
      • The Greenhills Forest Park Kiwanis Scholarship is available to any senior who lives in the Winton Woods school district.
      • The St. Bernard Women's Club Scholarship is open to anyone who lives in St. Bernard.
        Applications are in the file cabinet in the Guidance office. Pick one up if you qualify!
    • U.C. Blue Ash is hosting two Open House events: Thursday, February 28th from 6:00 - 8:30 pm and Saturday, April 6th from 1:00 - 3:30 pm. Seniors who attend can apply to U.C. Blue Ash free while they are there. It is a great opportunity to learn about their Honors Program, take a campus tour, and meet with with representatives from degree and certificate programs.     • Remember to bring in all of the scholarships you have been offered! We will announce all of the scholarships at the Graduation Awards Ceremony.

  • Juniors. You will be taking the ACT here on Tuesday, March 12th. This test is free and you do not have to register for it. Scores from this test may be sent to colleges as well. You will be doing some prep work for the test in your classes during third quarter.

  • Freshmen and Sophomore Girls. The Our Lady of Angels Scholarship is now available to freshmen and sophomore girls. The applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be returned by March 4th.

  • Fredericks Landscaping is hiring for the grass, maintenance, and landscape divisions for the 2019 season. Apply in person at 301 South Cooper Road, Lockland, 45215 or call 821-9407.

  • The Cincinnati Zoo is hiring for the Fall and Winter seasons. After school and weekend hours available. Call David Kunkemoeller at 513-601-3939 if you are interested.

Attention Veterans and Families of Veterans

We are looking for information on graduates from either Roger Bacon or Our Lady of Angels who have served in the military after World War II. If you are or know someone who has served, would you please provide the following information:
