  • We are celebrating Christmas Spirit Week as we ready ourselves for exams and our Christmas break.  Dress down days are as follows:
    • Monday, December 17th:  Christmas Character Day
    • Tuesday, December 18th:  Red and Green Day
    • Wednesday, December 19th:  Ugly Christmas Sweater Day
  • 1st semester exams will be given on Thursday, December 20th and Friday, December 21st.  The schedule for exams is listed below in the Director of Academics notices.  After school study tables will be held in the cafeteria on both Thursday, December 20th and Friday, December 21st until 1:00 pm.  The Fitness Center will be closed both days after school.  Please be prompt in picking your students up after exams - your assistance and cooperation are appreciated. 

  • PTA.  The next PTA meeting is Wednesday, January 16th  at 7:00 pm in the ITC.  We look forward to everyone attending to kick off the new year and welcome your thoughts and ideas about our exciting, upcoming plans.  See you there!!

1st Semester Exam Schedule

   11:30 - 12:45 - Make-up/Conflict Exams
Students should report to the location of the first exam by 7:45 am. 

Please note . . .
• Exams will be taken during exam week for all non-elective courses in the following departments: English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
• Students are expected to take exams during the designated time on the schedule.
• The make-up/conflict exam slot is intended for students who miss an exam on the first day or have two Math/Science classes. Students may also set up a make-up time with their teacher for a mutually agreed upon time during Exam Week or after we return from Christmas Break.
• Exam grades count as 20% of the semester average. Study for your exams. Get a good night’s sleep. Eat a good breakfast in the morning.
• Lunch will not be served on exam days.

Behavior Expectations . . .
• Regular dress code is to be observed during exams.
• Students who do not have to take an exam do not have to be on campus. Students who are on campus but do not have to take an exam must report to the cafeteria.
• Students are expected to stay in the exam room until the end of the testing period.
• In the event of a school closing due to weather, the exam schedule will shift one day, and the second day of exams will take place after we return from Christmas Break.
• If there is a two hour delay, exams will begin two hours later.

  • "Prepare Ye" for Godspell is headed to the RB stage for the fourth time! All audition and crew application notices have been posted on the bulletin board outside of Room 56 and on the Drama Guild website. Check those places to see what is required for each audition and what the process is for crew members. Please bring all questions to Ms. Murray in Room 56 or via email at

From Community Outreach

Thank you to all who helped make of Assist-a-Family Drive so successful. Together, we collected 1,518 items from the wish list and $3,072.58 in monetary donations which will be used to buy Kroger gifts cards for food purchases.  A special shout-out to the three Flex classrooms which collected the most:

From the Guidance Office

  • Parents of Juniors and Assisi Scholar Sophomores: The score reports for the PSAT taken in October will be distributed to the students this week. This was a practice test for the SAT, and a qualifying test for National Merit Scholarships. These scores are NOT reported to colleges. Students are eligible for free practice questions through Khan Academy. Make sure to check out for more information.

  • Applications for spring and summer internships in Senator Portman’s Cincinnati office are now being accepted. Internships in Senator Rob Portman’s offices offer students an exciting introduction to the U.S. Senate and the workings of a Senate office. Interns are assigned to work alongside staff responsible for the Senator’s legislative, press, and administrative operations. Applications will be reviewed for 2019 internships on a rolling basis.   • Group Sales, Inc. is a national toy distributor currently seeking Juniors and Seniors to help prepare and process orders during the upcoming holiday season. Located in Lockland – and led by RB alumni – we offer a flexible work schedule; great pay; and a family-friendly work environment. This is a great opportunity for students looking for a temporary position between fall and winter sports and/or those interested in earning a little extra cash for the holidays. A typical part-time schedule might be 3 nights a week after school until 10 PM plus Saturdays and Sundays from roughly 8 AM – 5 PM during peak season. To learn more and to apply visit;

  • Kings Island is seeking talented musicians, singers, dancers, actors, variety artists, costumers, character cohorts and technicians for the 2019 summer and WinterFest seasons. Auditions will be held at Kings Island on Thursday-Saturday, December 20th - 22nd from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

  • The Richard E. Lindner YMCA in Norwood is seeking part-time class instructors for their gymnastics program. Experience in gymnastics is preferred but not required. The YMCA is a great place for high school students to gain work and leadership experience. Employee hours are flexible and limited to only after school or weekends.
