Roger Bacon is sponsoring a Blood Drive on February 27th. Any student over 16 has the chance to donate and parents and community members are welcome to come that day to donate as well. In 2011, Roger Bacon helped to save 134 lives in the Tri-State and we can make it a goal to do even better this year.

If you are interested in attending a session, sign up in the Counseling Office. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to explore your future !!!

A planning meeting will take place in the next few weeks. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Pam at ccain70@hotmail.com. Maureen Shomaker is chairing the Faculty Mini-Grant Program. This is an opportunity for RB faculty to apply for mini-grants up to $100. Attention All Roger Bacon Parents: Under the Big Top is coming to Roger Bacon on April 1st and we need your help! Under the Big Top is the theme for Roger Bacon's Fashion Show this year, the primary fundraiser for our PTA. As you know, the PTA helps fund many activities at the school, keeping the costs down for all of us. We currently have many people already working hard on the show; however, we can use many more hands to help! We are especially looking for parents of freshman and sophomores to help co-chair or shadow this year, as many of the parents who are chairing are parents of juniors and seniors and will be leaving Roger Bacon soon. This is a great opportunity for anyone with younger students to learn the ropes from our many talented chair people this year! The Fashion Show is a lot of fun and a great way to meet other Roger Bacon parents and help the school at the same time.
Es Maravilloso! You are invited to join us as Roger Bacon and the Evening for Excellence travel to Spain and the vibrant city of Barcelona. No need for a translator as Fogarty Center shines with both the historic and modern beauty of España. The Evening for Excellence is Roger Bacon’s dinner auction and the school’s largest fundraising event. The night includes beautiful music, great food, a selection of drinks and cocktails plus the company of fellow parents, friends, alumni and supporters. A variety of booths will tempt you with a chance to win jewelry, electronics and, of course, the grand prize of $5000. Browse the silent auction tables filled with an array of gifts and enjoy the excitement of the live auction. We hope you make plans to attend this magical evening or help by volunteering your time or donating a gift. Proceeds from the Evening for Excellence benefit our scholarship and financial aid fund plus provides money for our technology program. Information should have arrived in your mailbox this week. Formal invitations will arrive by mid-March. For more information contact Chris Bissmeyer in the Advancement Office at 641-1313, or email at cbissmeyer@rogerbacon.org.
Volunteers for Evening for Excellence. For any event to be a success many hands are needed. There are many opportunities to help, beginning with building stage sets to working a booth the night of the event. If you are interested in volunteering or would like additional information please contact Chris Bissmeyer 641-1313, or email at cbissmeyer@rogerbacon.org or Judy Guillem jguillem@hotmail.com.
