Underwater Hockey's Trip to Canada

On Saturday, March 16, our Roger Bacon Underwater Hockey Team competed at the University of Guelph’s 40th annual College Royal underwater hockey tournament at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Our Spartans had a record of 2 wins and 4 losses, with victories over Gatineau and Peterborough, two Canadian teams. Roger Bacon played against Milwaukee in the “B” division playoff, losing by a score of 6 to 2 and finished in 6th place out of the 10 teams in the “B” Division. For the tournament, Roger Bacon’s top scorers were Conor Healy ‘20, Jordyn Broenner ‘22, and Brooklynn Flowers ‘22.

The Roger Bacon Underwater Hockey Team is now preparing for USA Underwater Hockey’s 2019 U.S. National Championships which will be held this June in Orlando, Florida.

In June the Underwater Hockey Team will also be hosting its annual summer camp for incoming 6th, 7th , and 8th grade students and incoming Roger Bacon freshmen during the week of June 10 - June 14.
