Spartans Go Local
On Friday, May 11, the Spartans spent the whole day outside the classroom, putting our faith into action by serving our community.
For three years, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and Crossroads Church have teamed up for a citywide service day called GO Local. Hundreds of volunteers have poured out every year to help their local neighbors. Roger Bacon joined in. There is no better place to serve than our home for 90 years, Saint Bernard.
Starting at 8:00 AM 480 students, along with the entire faculty and staff, gathered for a service rally and prayer before descending on Saint Bernard.
Community Outreach Director, Fr. Roger Lopez said: “Service has always been a cornerstone at Roger Bacon High School – there is no better way to permeate our society with Gospel values. We are excited to partner with Crossroads Church and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to positively impact our community. It truly is a great way to celebrate our faith and the end of a wonderful school year.”
