Senior receives $96,000 scholarship to Marian University

Congratulations are in order for Meggie Suffoletta ’19. Meggie was selected out of nearly 80 applicants for the top academic scholarship offered at Marian University located in Indianapolis, IN. The St. Mary’s Scholarship is a competitive scholarship offered to top students applying to Marian who have already received an academic scholarship. Meggie had to apply and meet the criteria of a 3.75 GPA and at least a 27 on the ACT. Lastly, she had to endure an interview process with 2 MU faculty members, who then went to a board of other faculty members to make the final decision.

Meggie is still up in the air on where she wants to attend college, however, she was very impressed with Marian because of how they also incorporates their Franciscan values in the school every day.

Meggie said, "I am grateful for the wonderful opportunity to continue my Franciscan education at Marian University. I am still unsure of where I will be attending next year, but this scholarship makes the reality of going to Marian more of a reality for me. My experience in Assisi and Rome this past Fall was such a wonderful experience that I would be happy to continue with a Franciscan education in college."

Meggie is an Assisi Scholar, Student Senator, Swimming and Soccer team member and a Planeteer. She plans on majoring in Environmental Science and is most looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing new things in college.
