Nurse Bizarri retires after 13 years as a Spartan
Roger Bacon is sad to say goodbye to our beloved Nurse Bizarri, after 13 years of service to Roger Bacon High School she will be retiring and enjoying time with her family. She reflected on her time at Roger Bacon for the Traditions magazine:
"In 2005, I started working at this school called Roger Bacon. I’ve never heard of it before, I have never been to St. Bernard. The closest I came to this school was going to the Zoo. My draw was working 4 days a week at the same location and my love for teenagers as my girls were 13 and 17 at the time. What ensued over the following 14 years was a journey that only the hand of God could script. I fell in love with the Franciscan vibe, the mix of high school kids and working side by side with faculty and staff to have a positive impact on the students of RB. I fell in love with St. Bernard and the down to earth people who are doing God’s work by serving the poor, helping their neighbor’s, and just loving on anybody that needed it."
