Drama Guild Visits Thomas More University
On Monday, September 30th, members of the Cast and Crew of the Drama Guild’s The Diary of Anne Frank traveled to Thomas More University to view their Villa Players production of the same show! They enjoyed TMU’s production and theater space with a talk-back from the cast and Director, Greg Procaccino. The Roger Bacon students enjoyed learning about the cast’s research behind this moving story and characters while learning about the technical process from the Stage Manager and Roger Bacon alum, Sam Devlin '16.
Sam is a Theater Major at TMU as has been exposed to and works in a variety of technical theater areas such as lighting design, set building, stage make-up, directing and costuming. By the time he graduates from TMU, he states that he will be well-rounded and hold strong skillset in the many areas of theater. Sam is set to graduate in 2021 and is grateful to Roger Bacon for instilling him an appreciation and love for theater. He went on to say, “I learned through my years at Roger Bacon and involvement in the Drama Guild, that if I work hard, I can be a part in creating something that is truly amazing.”
The Drama Guild enjoyed the experience and looks forward to continuing working on their own production. Join them November 22-24th for The Diary of Anne Frank in the Carol Dauwe Fine Arts Center. Tickets will go on sale on October 28th. Please email Catie Murray at email@example.com with any questions.
