Assist-a-Family 2019

Each year, the Community Outreach Board thinks of a fun way for our students to give back to families during the holidays. The entire school came together to donate much-needed gifts and money to families in need around our community.

The Spartans collected $3,409.63 for Kroger gift cards and 4,074 gifts to be donated to the St. George Food Pantry in Clifton and St. Vincent de Paul located at the Church of the Resurrection in Bond Hill.

Kathy O'Malley, pantry coordinator at the Church of the Resurrection, shared her overwhelming gratitude and joy when receiving the donations. Kathy said, "We are simply overwhelmed by your generosity. Honestly, when we arrived to pick up the donations, we thought students had brought out too much! We asked them to make certain it was all for Bond Hill and the Church of the Resurrection. What an outpouring of love! On behalf of all our neighbors, please accept my most heartfelt thank you. You have no idea how many lives you are enriching. May God bless you all!!"

Thank you to all Roger Bacon students who participated and gave of themselves during this season's Assist-a-Family, demonstrating our Franciscan values of compassion and service.
