2018 HOBY Participants

HOBY Leadership Seminars are designed for high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, schools, workplace and community. The faculty chooses our delegates to these Seminars based on their decision-making skills, creative problem-solving skills, communication skills, and sensitivity to the needs of others. Representing Roger Bacon this year at the HOBY Leadership Seminar this summer will be:

Lindsay Ballinger: member of the Assisi Scholars Program, Girls' Soccer Team and will be joining the new Sports Ministry Program next year.

Josiah McGee: member of the Assisi Scholars Program, Boys' Basketball Team, Peer Tutor, and Student Ambassador.

Amari Thurmond: Cheerleader, Student Leader and Creator of  Sisters 4 Life: Women's Empowerment, and Hair and Makeup Crew for the Spring Production of Beauty and the Beast.

Trent Walker: Community Outreach Board, St. Vincent de Paul, Bacon Buddies, Student Ambassador and Bowling Team.
