From the Office of Spiritual Life:
"Thank you to everyone’s incredible outpouring generosity – great and small – for the 2017 Assist-a-Family (AAF) drive. The representatives for AAF did a fantastic job motivating and encouraging participation. Proceeds benefit families in need of food and gifts, especially around this holy Christmas season. For years, Roger Bacon has partnered with Saint George Food Pantry (Clifton) and the Church of the Resurrection (Bond Hill) to spread the message Christ’s love to His people. We are grateful to announce that the Roger Bacon 2017 Assist-a-Family drive rose over $2,300.00 for Kroger gift cards and 534 gifts of warm winter clothes, blankets, games and more.
Well done to Rebecca Mae Spears ’20 and Anna Merz ’20 who lead their sophomore flex room to raise $351.00 in the six weeks. Also, congratulations to the leadership and support of Anna Perry ‘19, Emma Sauer ‘19 and Christine Hoffmann ’19 whose junior flex room collected 225 gifts. These two flex room will be shaving the heads of our beloved Principal, Mr. Steve Schad and of our illustrious Dean, Mr. Paul Zlatic. May our generosity witness to the love and compassion of our Savior Jesus Christ, whose nativity we await in joyful expectation."-Fr. Roger Lopez, O.F.M.
