Dr. Jessica Vordenberg MacDonald, Psy.D. '05
Dr. Jessica Vordenberg MacDonald, Psy.D. is a 2005 graduate of Roger Bacon.
Upon graduation, she studied psychology at the University of Cincinnati where she was a member of the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology
and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors.
After completing her bachelor’s degree, Dr. MacDonald pursued her graduate studies at Xavier University. She earned her master’s degree and Psy.D. doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Her doctoral dissertation was a study conducted on an inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation unit examining cognitive and functional outcomes of stroke patients, a study that she later published in a premiere peer-reviewed journal. During her studies, she completed clinical training in Neuropsychology with positions at the Kettering Medical Center, Cincinnati VA Medical Center, and yearlong internship at the St. Louis VA Medical Center. To complete her training, Dr. MacDonald then pursued a two-year clinical and research fellowship in Neuro/Rehab Psychology at Ohio State University’s physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital. Dr. MacDonald has presented her research work at multiple national and international conferences.
Professionally, Dr. MacDonald has worked as a Clinical Neuropsychologist for the past three years. She works within a Neurology practice, performing cognitive assessments with patients with history of stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and other neurological conditions. She became board certified in Neuropsychology in 2018.
Personally, Dr. MacDonald married her husband Brian in 2014 and they have a three year old son Sam. They also welcomed triplets Jack, Emma, and Chloe in April 2019.
